Ever heard of the Dabbawallas? Well here they are waiting for the train, 20 odd lunch boxes of office goers balancing on their heads. They deliver lunch boxes from homes to offices to millions of Mumbai hungry people everyday and the most amazing thing is that they rarely get the wrong address.

Why don't the office workers bring their lunches with them when they go to work?

that's a good question. We love our food served fresh and hot. Many of us live in joint families, with parents and grandparents in the same house. Hence food is made fresh for the whole family in the mornings. Cooking in time to take our lunch tiffins in the morning would require either a very early preparation or the previous day. The Tiffinwallas give us a good alternative of sharing fresh food from the midday meal preparation.
